Terms and Conditions

There not fun but everyone needs to have them.

 Hockey Guy Cards
Terms and Conditions:

Sales:
1.  All prices are in U.S. dollars
2.  Payment method is via check, money order, or cash .  I would prefer you not send cash, but realize this is sometimes
the only alternative. especially from the Nordic countries.  I hear that most mail that disappears looks like a greeting card
from the envelope so I wouldn't send cash in anything but a business envelope.
3   My bank charges me at least $20 on a foriegn check, so unless you want to include that charge send payment in U.S.
dollars.
4.  First class postage is .50 on orders under $10.  I'll pay postage on orders over $10.
5.  If you would like Express Mail, Priority, Insurance, Certified, UPS or Fed-Ex e-mail me for the exact charge.
6.  All cards are Mint unless noted otherwise.
7.  If your not happy with what you receive you can return it for a full refund, provided it's still in its original holder.
8.  I try to mail all orders within a day or two of receiving payment, but occasionally it might take up to 7 days while I
round up a box or wait for a check to clear.  From San Jose CA mail: within the Bay Area usually takes 1-2 days,
to the Western US 3-4 days, Eastern US 4-5 days, Western Canada 5-7 days, Eastern Canada 7-10 days, The Maritime
Provinces 14-21 days, Sweden 10-14 days, Finland 7-10 days.   If you think something is late let me know.
9.  I check my e-mail every couple of days.  Tuesday and Wendsday I play hockey so I usually don't check on those days.  I might be away for the weekend ect.  If you really need to get me try at work.  I check that everyday.  I'll also know you read the T's and C's then because this is the only place with that email address.

Trading:
1.  I will trade 100% for 100% for cards on my want lists, sometimes even higher!!
2.  Each party pays their own shipping costs.
3.  Please be prepared to provide referances and ship certified, especially for deals over $100.
4.  I'm open to trade proposals for cards not on my list, but it's got to be worth my while.  At shows I usually catagorize
cards in 4 groups, 100%, 75%, 50%, 25%.  That's the amount I would give in trade.  If you don't want to do that that's
fine, but it's really probably the best I can do.
5.  I'm not very picky about matching up years, sets, high ends, ect.  If you want to get one big card and send me a
bunch of small ones or the otherway around it's usually fine with me.
6.  Just because Beckett says it's an even trade doesn't mean I should do it.  I've got to think of the costs I have to do
business.  See number 6 below for what I mean.  Or my favorite response is, "then sell it to Dr. Beckett if that's what he
says it's worth.

Buying:
1.  I pay via check in U.S dollars on a U.S. bank.
2.  I've only been ripped off twice.  Both times sending money orders to Canada.  I'm more likely to cut off a limb than
send another money order to Canada.  You'ld really have to work hard to convience me to send anything but a check.
3.  If I've solicited the buy, I'm more than happy to send payment first.
4.  If you've asked me to buy something I'll probably want to get it before I send payment, unless we've done business
before or you're a big SCD advertiser or something like that.
5.  I will reimburse you for exact postage costs.
6.  I'll buy almost any hockey card.  Check my Want Lists.  I'll pay a higher percentage of Beckett for items on those
lists sometimes even over Beckett!!  However, if it's not on those lists I need to get it at a discount.  Keep in mind that
most of what I sell is 50% of Beckett.  I can't pay you what I'll sell the card for.  As it is I make about 40 cents an hour
doing this and if it drops any lower my wife will make me sleep in the garage.
7.  I know this market pretty well so it would be a waste of time to try and convience me that 5000 91 ProSet Commons
is a good deal at $5.  If you gave me $5 to take them I'd say no.  If I was buying stuff under the idea that I could turn
around and sell it to someone stupider than me I'd be selling Beanie Babies not hockey cards.
8.  I spend alot of time pricing all my cards and they are clearly marked when I do shows.  I hate dealers who don't mark
their cards and price everything on the fly.  I usually don't even stop at those tables and it's even rarer I'll buy something
that way.  So, have a price in mind.  We can negotiate from there.
9.  You can stop here if you want.  The rest is three stories about how my buying policies came about that you might find
humorous, but it's not directly important.
